WHO WE ARE

Migrant with migrants

The ASCS – Scalabrinian Agency for Development Cooperation has been the social, operational and cultural arm of the Missionaries of St. Charles – Scalabrinians working in the Europe and Africa Region since 2004. The congregation, founded in 1887 by St. John Baptist Scalabrini, has been working for more than 130 years in 32 countries on behalf of migrants and refugees.

ASCS is also an integral part of the Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN), a network that encompasses and coordinates the various Scalabrini entities in Italy and around the world.

Mission

Responding to the challenges of migration by valuing the wealth it generates so that everyone can consciously express their potential to achieve the common good.

Vision

To create an open, welcoming and inclusive society in which people on the move are seen as an added value and not an obstacle.
