Spritz, Run & Support: An Aperitif to Go for a Run with the Women of the Wasi Project

![]("https://www.ascs.it/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Spritz-Run-Support.jpg" ""Spritz")

On November 25, in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, ASCS invites you to a special evening dedicated to sports, inclusion, and solidarity.

At 7:30 p.m., at the Salone Scalabrini in Milan, “Spritz, Run & Support” will take place : an aperitif event designed to raise awareness of the Wasi Project and kick off ASCS’s participation in the charity relays at the upcoming Milan Marathon.

Why are we taking to the streets?

Imagine going through a time of deep suffering and not having the right words to ask for help. This is the reality faced by many migrant women who have arrived in Italy: they carry with them the trauma of their journey, the burden of the violence they have endured, and the struggle of starting over in an unfamiliar country.

To break down this barrier, Wasi ( “home” in the Quechua language) was launched — an ASCS project that offers a free psychological support service in the participants’ native languages (Spanish, Arabic, Ukrainian, Russian, English, Portuguese, and Kurdish). Being able to speak in one’s native language is not a minor detail, but the first essential step toward processing grief and regaining hope.

At the next Milan Marathon, we’ll take to the streets to turn every kilometer into hours of listening and care.

How does the charity challenge work?

During the cocktail reception, you’ll get an up-close look at how personal fundraising works and learn about the options for securing your charity race bib and running in ASCS colors:

- Full Marathon (42 km): for runners who want to take on the full individual challenge.

- Relay Marathon (4-Person Relay): Share the 42 km of the marathon with 3 friends, family members, or coworkers (with leg distances ranging from 6.5 to 13 km).

- Family Run (4 km): a walk/run open to everyone, ideal for families and anyone looking to enjoy a festive day.
