Camp Remix Rome

A proposal of ASCS cross-cultural youth work, dedicated to young people with roots and horizons in the world.

WHAT? 4 days of workshops, meetings and shared experiences to put interculture, with its challenges and potential, on the theme, starting from the experience of each participant, from the exchange with othersǝ, and from the exploration of the local context that will host us: the city of Rome and the multi-ethnic neighborhood of Torpignattara where Casa Scalabrini 634 is located, ASCS headquarters and a host home where we will also be guests for the days of the camp.

FOR WHO? A camp designed for young people between the ages of 18 and 29… Specifically, for you who have an immigrant background, personal or family, and an identity that is an original remix of cultures, and for you who want to be a citizenǝ of the world!

WHY? To get to know each other, confront each other, explore the possibility of bringing differences into dialogue and get involved in building bridges between people, histories and cultures, learning to inhabit the world together, trying to turn diversity into one more resource to take care of it and make it a hospitable home for allǝ.

WHERE AND WHEN? In Rome, from 3 p.m. Saturday, May 30, to 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, 2026.

Useful info

To participate in the camp, we ask you to contribute a €60 donation to support expenses (this does not have to be an obstacle to participation; write to us if you would like to participate, but don’t think you can afford the fee!). The contribution includes food, lodging, insurance and internal travel on camp days. Each participant, on the other hand, will have to make his or her own arrangements for travel to and from the camp site.
