Rebuilding Hope | Update from Syria | July 2023

As we have been telling you in recent months, the Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN) e ASCS have kicked off Rebuilding Hope, a Fundraising Campaign to support local churches in Turkey and Syria to support the many individuals and families affected by last February’s earthquake.

With the support of many donors, Scalabrinian missions and partners, we sent initial support. Many thanks to those who have already decided to join us!

Today we want to give you some more updates and share with you a video received from Archbishop Joseph Tobji, Maronite Archbishop of Aleppo, with whom we are in contact.

As recounted in the video, the local church is working to meet the basic needs of those affected by the earthquake, many of whom were already living in severe poverty.

Funds raised through Rebuilding Hope will be used to support families in need and contribute to the cost of schooling children in the first grade school.

Thank you for what you have already done and what you decide to do!
