Scalabrini House 634 – Rome

Scalabrini House 634 – Rome

We provide semi-independent housing for refugees, young adults, and families who have completed their stay in government-run reception centers. Thanks in part to the support of many volunteers, we offer activities and training courses open to everyone.
In the heart of Torpignattara, Casa Scalabrini 634 is much more than a physical space: it is a home that supports people as they build their economic, professional, housing, and social independence.
Here, step by step, we offer support, a listening ear, and opportunities so that everyone can envision and build their own future with dignity and confidence.

“I prayed to God to have my family with me whom I had not seen for more than three years, and He put this House in my path. Now we all live here together. It has changed my life and my world.”

Sajeel is from Pakistan. For three long years he lived separated from his wife and children, waiting for the paperwork for family reunification to go through. Three years of loneliness, bureaucracy, hope that at times seemed to be extinguished.

When he arrived at Casa Scalabrini 634 in the heart of Torpignattara in Rome, Sajeel found not only a roof, but the place where his family could finally reunite. Today they live here together, building their autonomy and their future day by day.

Sajeel’s story is one of the many we live within the walls of this House, where the Scalabrinian Missionaries’ welcome restores dignity, hope and a future to those who have had to leave everything behind.

When reception routes in ministerial centers end, many people find themselves alone in their search for stable employment, accessible housing, and a network to rely on. This is when the risk of falling into vulnerable situations is highest.

Casa Scalabrini 634 intervenes right here: it offers a safe place to lay the foundation for one’s future, accompanying young adults and families toward economic, work and relational independence.

To keep the doors of Scalabrini House 634 open, we need you.

To provide protection, dignity and a future for families like Sajeel’s.
