RADIX alle radici del problema, is a project funded by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and promoted by the Kairos Social Cooperative in collaboration with ASCS, Confraternita delle Stimmate di Cisterna, Caritas Latina, Centro Astalli, Progetto Diritti, Municipality of Sabaudia, CNOAS, ENAPRA, Confagricoltura, Fattoria Solidale del Circeo, AGCI, CIR ONLUS.

The project aims to provide sustainable alternatives to irregular labor by combating the phenomenon of third-country nationals’ exploitation in agriculture. Through the project, migrants receive support and guidance in exercising their right as workers and citizens.

As part of the project, at Casa calabrini 634 we promote theEmpowerment Labs (E.L) , free empowerment workshops designed to orient migrants in the areas of employment, housing and economics and introduce them to the world of social agriculture.

The workshops are aimed at migrants – men and women – between 18 and 45 years-old, legally residing in Italy and/or applying for renewal, refugees and applicants for international protection.

Activities are developed in 35 hours of workshops and in-person meetings in which the following services are offered:

  • skills assessment workshop
  • CV drafting
  • housing orientation workshop
  • family economic budget drafting and economic orientation workshop
  • in-depth language workshop in social farming
  • job orientation meetings at the local desks.

Together we can build an open and inclusive community in which diversity is an asset and everyone can contribute to the creation of the common good.
